01 · About MTÜ Jõusport

Built by a family,
devoted to sport

SK Jõusport is Estonia's largest and most varied sports club for the whole family. The club's story begins in 2003, and the non-profit MTÜ Jõusport was founded in 2018.

The club is led by Peeter Aan, a former athlete and lecturer at the Estonian Academy of Security Sciences, who has devoted himself to coaching young people and organising competitions. Together with his wife Janne and their family he has grown Jõusport into a club with six gyms.

We operate in Elva, Rõngu, Puhja, Tartu, Ülenurme and Valga. We offer children, teenagers and adults both general physical preparation and strength training.

“Our aim is to grow a love of an active life and of sport in children, young people and adults.”

Training for children, teenagers and adults

Coached group sessions run in Tartu, Elva, Rõngu, Puhja and Ülenurme. Tartu and Valga are 24/7 self-service gyms — you buy a pass and train at your own pace. There are no group sessions in Valga at the moment; we will add them here once they start.

The calendar shows every group, time and free place.

From age 7

Children’s gym session

A playful general fitness session where a child first learns correct movement and technique — using body weight, a stick and light weights. The focus is posture, coordination and the habit of training, not lifting heavy.

Ages 12–19

Youth gym session

Coached strength training with barbells and machines. We build technique and the main lifts and move up in weight step by step. It works both alongside another sport and as a first introduction to the gym.

For adults

Adult gym session

A coached group session for any age and any level. No previous experience is needed — the load is chosen to suit you.

In Elva · for women

Naisteklubi

A group session for women in Elva. A calm atmosphere, strength and circuit training, and a coach who will help you start from scratch.

By arrangement

Personal training

One to one with a coach, with a plan built around your goal. Available in Tartu, Valga and Elva — see the coaches section for who offers personal training.
